HOW WICKED IS THE WICKED WAFFLE?

 THE WICKED WAFFLE
4/F SM City Manila
Arroceros St. Cor. San Marcelino St., Manila

I'm a sucker for Movies....Wait. What?.. I know. You might think, what's up with movies anyway? and how is it connected with this article? Well, let me tell you. "The Wicked Waffle" happens to be located beside the movie theater of SM Manila. So, by now, you probably figured how I came about this place, am I right? Well if you're still guessing. Let me narrate it to you. You know when you are caught in rush hour, and its raining outside and you decided to kill time. Hence, you bought a ONE-TIME VIEWING movie ticket and its an hour or so before the movie starts again. Your only concern will be: "Where will you spend that "hour"?" Well, in my case, I spent it in The Wicked Waffle, one rainy day afternoon.

BACON 'N CHEESE WAFFLE: Basically, it's Bacon and Cheese
sandwich in their Signature Waffle. Their signature waffle was
so yummy, you don't need any butter or syrup or whatever to enjoy it.

CHUNKY MUNKEY: Waffle with Banana topped with Vanilla
Ice cream, drizzled with caramel and choco syrup and
sprinkled with crunchies. This one belongs to their Best Seller List.
And let me tell you, it deserves that title. I can't get enough of
this sucker. I order this every time I eat in the place.

The place was really laid back. It's basically a Bright White-kinda-Artsy Café. The furniture and key pieces of the space are a combination of hard and soft with catchy wallpapers and wall frames. It's a good place to stay whether you just want to eat, read a book or hang-out with your friends. There are plug station in certain areas if you want to charge your gadgets.  All in all, it is a nice and comfy place. However, my only concern would be their sometimes-working-sometimes-not coffee maker, too-long a problem WIFI connection and Out-of-Order Comfort Room.

STEAK 'N EGGS. Steak with Egg (you choice whether you want
Scrambled/Sunny SideUp), Toasted Bread, Pork & Beans and
Home Fries. The Steak was over cooked, the pork & beans taste
like fresh from a tin can and the fries was served cold.

PORK CHOP 'N EGGS. Fried Pork Chop with Egg (you choice whether
you wantScrambled/Sunny SideUp), Toasted Bread, Pork & Beans and
Home Fries. The pork was dry, and like the fries, it was served cold.

There were also ups and downs in terms of their food. Some of them, especially the fries, were being served cold. Their pork & beans were clearly from in-canned products (Hunt's P&B). However, their Original Waffle tasted Oh so Yummy that I need not put anything to it. I can eat any waffle  What I also love about this place is their attempt to add Filipino cuisines or famous breakfast meals of Filipinos starting with the famous "SILOG" combos, Adobo, Daing, Tinapa to name some.

ALL-PINOY BREAKFAST SAMPLER. The usual SILOG Combo with
Adobo Flakes, Longanisa and Beef Tapa with Atsara. Very Yummy
Pinoy Combination

The Menu, (please refer to the pictures provided herein under), basically offers diverse selection of Breakfast Meals including Pancakes, different kinds of Pasta meals, variety of Soup and many more.

In conclusion, despite its seatbacks I must say this joint is one of those restaurants that satisfies my belly and my taste really well. And if you ask me how wicked is the wicked waffles? I must say it is pretty darn WICKED, Wickedly Satisfying!!!

BUDGET: Php 400 for 2 pax

RATINGS: VERY SATISFACTORY!

I hope you enjoy reading and try this place yourself. Be sure to let me know.

Lots of Love,

Justine
